Greg wished to prepare the horses that he was going to bring with him to #The-White-December to face the cold. He did not worry for Rhum, which was a horse which always lived outside, nor for April who was resistant, but he didn't know how would react the young person Mésange to the cold. To pull horses, he made them rise till the bottom the tracks of the ski resort of La Clusaz, where he had found an immense meadow covered with a thick layer of snow. Horses were going to spend their time up to the great departure there !

To accustom Mésange to the endurance, he made Alix and Kawena come, two other riders of the OWS (Kawena is the owner of Rhum and agreed to lend him its horse, knowing very well that he would be in good hands). Every days, they rose more or less for a long time, according to the endurance of horses.

At the very beginning, the young Obertaurer was completely crazy with so much snow and made full of jumps in all directions, but after a while, she had eventually understands that it was better to keep its energy for something else.

While they pulled horses, Greg also learnt to know better Rhum and Mésange. Until now, he had never taken up Rhum, but the stallion was endowed with angel's character. For what was of Mésange, the young mare had some more had no riders on the back and she was still every young person: Greg should thus learn to manage the ardour of the Obertaurer.

_{FR Greg souhaitait préparer les chevaux qu'il allait amener avec lui au White December à affronter le froid. Il ne se faisait aucun soucis pour Rhum, qui était un cheval qui vivait toujours à l'extérieur, ni pour April qui était résistante, mais il ne savait pas comment réagirait la jeune Mésang au froid. Pour entraîner les chevaux, il les a fait monter jusqu'au bas des pistes de la station de ski de la Clusaz, où il avait trouvé un immense pré recouvert d'une épaisse couche de neige. Les chevaux allaient y passer leur temps jusqu'au grand départ ! Afin d'habituer Mésang aux randonnées, il a fait venir Alix et Kawena, deux autres cavalières du OWS (Kawena est la propriétaire de Rhum et a accepté de lui prêter son cheval, sachant très bien qu'il serait entre de bonnes mains). Chaque jours, ils montaient plus ou moins longtemps, en fonction de l'endurance des chevaux.
Au tout début, la jeune Obertaurer était complètement folle avec autant de neige et faisait plein de bonds dans tous les sens, mais au bout d'un moment, elle avait finit par comprendre qu'il valait mieux garder son énergie pour autre chose.

Pendant qu'ils entraînaient les chevaux, Greg a également appris à mieux connaître Rhum et Mésang. Jusqu'à présent, il n'avait jamais monté Rhum, mais l'étalon était doté d'un caractère d'ange. Pour ce qui était de Mésang, la jeune jument n'avait pas encore eu beaucoup de cavaliers sur le dos et elle était encore toute jeune: le Norvégien devrait donc apprendre à gérer la fougue de l'obertaurer.
